Email stationary

Do you use Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express and are getting a bit tired of the same old look for your emails? Have you looked on line and just found E-mail stationary that is just not to your taste?

There are plenty of free stationary sites on line, just Google ‘E-mail stationary’ and see what you come up with. Thundercloud is a very good source as is StationaryHeaven . That is if you like pretty pictures with your E-mails.

There is nothing wrong with that, but it really is not my style and after using Outlook for years I have got a bit tired of the same old look. So I had a quick look on the internet and soon found a way to make my own.

Maybe you have a business that you want to create your own look for, or like myself want to put in the web sites that you have built on the same form, but with your own look. You can pay someone to do it for you, but you can also make your own for free and use them every time.

First of all open up Microsoft Word to start with a blank page. Then put in any details that you want such as perhaps the company logo, or a gif with ‘you have mail’, whatever you want.

Format it in any way that you like to make the look you want. I used the format tool and then ‘themes’ to make the look that I wanted, and changed the look of the font to my own design.

Then it is time to save the page to make the E-mail stationary. Click on ‘file’/save as’ and name the file in whatever way you want.

Then from the drop down box at the top click and pick ‘C’ drive and then open the following, ‘programs/common files/Microsoft shared/stationary’. Then save the page you have created as a web page. That’s it, it is that easy. Depending on how much formatting or inserting of gifs etc you do it can take about 10 minutes.

After you have created your stationary of course you want to use it. In Outlook go to ‘Tools/Options/Mail Format/Stationary picker and choose the stationary that you have just created and then ‘ok’. And that really is it. Every time you click on ‘new mail’ your own stationary will be used. You can create as many as you like to use over and over again.

In Outlook Express, click on Tools/Otions/Compose/Stationary/Mail/Browse/Apply/OK
