Welcome to the new photo page for www.dragon-photos.co.uk This has been set up as a small way of showcasing some of my work. I have been taking photos now for well over 45 years, first of all taking photos and developing and printing them in school and then all my life I have loved the action of the moment in time that the still photo gives you.

Some time ago decided to move into the digital age. This was in the early days of digital cameras, and I paid about £400 for my first one. It seemed at the time like the miracle of photography and I guess in its own way it was.

The photos of course were not on a par with film cameras all those years ago, but I could take photos by the hundred and delete all I did not want. That first camera was a Richo RDC 5300 and to me it was a wonder. By today’s standard it was crude and the pictures were not that good. But by the standards of about ten years ago it was a great camera. For photos that were special of course I had to still use a film camera.

Then I changed cameras as the technology advanced and purchased a Minolta Z1. This is a great camera and I still have as a spare today. It has a wonderful 10x zoom and that is something that not many cameras have even now.

Then about a year ago I decided that my finances could stretch to my dream camera, then Nikon. I bought a Nikon D40 with a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm zoom lens. This camera really can take photos as good as the 35mm still camera that I still have upstairs but never use these days.

So that will give you some idea of the type of photographer that I am. I will take virtally anything, and if you have the need for a solid depenable photographer who will not rip you off but will give good service then contact me here.
